Scaling Mental Health Innovation: From Possibility to Practice

Event Date: October 09, 2025 Categories: Mental Health Innovation, Partnerships, Scaling, Prevention

The 11th Mental Health Innovation Network (MHIN) meetup brought together over 150 people from across mental health - innovators, investors, clinicians, charities and academics - for a Showcase Event in partnership with Harley Street Health District (HSHD) at Hale House.

The event focused on optimism grounded in reality: how to scale mental health solutions in a sector that’s often underfunded and fragmented. The discussions stayed practical - exploring what it really takes to turn innovation into everyday impact.

The day opened with three provider-innovator case studies - Priory & Psyomics, Vitality & Wysa, and NELFT & TMC Insights - each showing how long-term collaboration and persistence can deliver measurable improvements in care.

Five diverse startups - Dr Julian Medical Group, Embers the Dragon, Affiniti AI, Speek, and XR Therapeutics - then showcased innovations spanning digital therapy, early intervention and data-driven mental health support. Together, they reflected a growing, mature ecosystem tackling prevention, access and personalisation.

Panels featuring leaders from the NHS, investment and innovation networks explored what makes scaling possible: real partnerships, alignment with care providers, robust evidence, and policy-ready infrastructure.
